Privacy policy
Last updated: 24 July 2026
This policy sets out the data processed when you use DroneCheck, the purpose of each processing operation and how to exercise your rights. It complements the legal notice.
Data controller
Julien CLERO, publisher of the site, Rennes, Brittany, France. For any question about your data: contact@drone-check.fr
No account, no sign-up
The calculator works without an account. We ask for no name, no email address and no pilot number in order to use it.
The answers you enter in the calculator
Your answers — drone mass and class, country, type of use, flight environment — are used only for the calculation at hand. They are encoded in the URL of the result page so that you can save or share it, but they are not stored on our servers and are not linked to any personal identifier.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
The site uses two third-party services that may set cookies: Google Analytics 4 for audience measurement and Google AdSense for advertising. Neither script is loaded until you have given consent: before you accept, no analytics or advertising cookie is set.
The legal basis for this processing is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time, as easily as you gave it:
Recipients and transfers outside the European Union
If you consent, the browsing data associated with these cookies is processed by Google Ireland Limited and by Google LLC in the United States. Those transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, to which Google is certified. The site is hosted by Vercel Inc.
Retention periods
The lifetime of analytics and advertising cookies is set by Google, up to thirteen months for audience measurement. Your consent choice is kept in your browser for six months, after which you are asked again.
Technical logs
The host keeps connection logs (IP address, timestamp, page requested) for security and for the proper operation of the service. These logs rely on the publisher's legitimate interest and are never used for advertising.
Affiliate links
Some recommendations are affiliate links, identified as such. If you follow one, the destination retailer applies its own privacy policy and may set its own cookies, outside our control.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your data, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise them, write to the address above. If you consider that your rights are not being respected, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr) or with the supervisory authority of your country of residence.
Minors
The site is not specifically aimed at minors and does not knowingly collect data relating to them.
Changes
This policy may change along with the site or the applicable regulation. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
